I have always had difficulty with artificial sweeteners. They upset my stomach and leave a bitter aftertaste I do not like. One day my aunt Sheila suggested I try Swerve. It changed my life. Although it is artificial, it doesn’t upset my stomach, nor does it have the same bitter aftertaste that all of the other sweeteners I have tried do. You can still taste that it isn’t sugar but it is good.

Benefits of this product according to packaging: It has zero calories, it tastes like sugar (almost), bakes like sugar, kosher, tummy-friendly, pet safe, non GMO, and gluten free. This is the first time I have seen an artificial sweetener specifically say it is pet safe. It makes me wonder if other sweeteners are bad for pets (not that you would feed it to them anyway).

So far I have found that it does bake like sugar and it dissolves in warm beverages such as coffee.
